How RhinoShield Works...
Our installation process goes the extra mile - from two coats to ensure maximum benefit!
We use a two-coat installation process. After the surface of your building is prepped and ready, we apply our primer coat that will seal, waterproof, provide a bonding agent for the ceramic finish coat, and can fill up to 1/16” cracks on the exterior of your home. The ceramic finish coat can be tinted to over 1,500 colors and is put on thick, about 100 square feet per gallon. Some areas may require brushing or back rolling of the ceramic finish coat.
Our Coating Resists Gulf Coast Weather Elements
Rhino Shield Midsouth is a ceramic elastomeric coating, it looks like regular house paint but is applied thicker. Because it is so thick and seals so thoroughly, it gives your building hardy resistance to mold, mildew, algae, and any other issues caused by water exposure. It can be tinted over 1,500 colors and is more resistant to UV rays and fading than normal house paints. Rhino Shield also boasts a Class A Fire Rating.
How Our Coating Was Developed
RhinoShield is not a paint. Our chemists believed that traditional paints weren’t adequate for exterior house painting and that ceramics were the key to durability and solar ray reflectivity. They also knew that breathability was an essential characteristic of longevity. The product took us years to develop combines elastomeric acrylic resins with urethane resins, resulting in a tough surface that resists cracking because it remains flexible. The thick rubber-like membrane uses adhesion and bonding to become part of the substrate.

Ideally suited to meet the challenges of the Gulf Coast and MidSouth climate, RhinoShield is impervious to water penetration, an essential performance parameter in humid and moist climates. This advanced commercial-grade coating also allows the underlying building surface to breathe, helping to prevent decay and the growth of mold and mildew. And because our coatings stay much cooler than every other exterior coating solution, heat buildup is greatly reduced, which means less expansion and contraction stress, too.
RhinoShield colors resist fading in the merciless summer sun and our next-gen exterior coating resists pitting and chipping better than ordinary house paints.
